Notice of Data Security Incident

Evening Prior to Surgery

Evening Prior to Surgery

Do not eat or drink anything after midnight before your surgery unless instructed otherwise. This includes gum, hard candy, mints, and chewing tobacco. If you do, your surgery will be cancelled.

Ask your doctor about taking any medications before surgery, including aspirin and ibuprofen. If you are told to take medicines the morning of surgery, take them with small sips of water.

Make arrangements for an adult to drive you home after your surgery and stay with you for the first 24 hours. You will not be allowed to drive if you have had anything other than local anesthesia.

Failure to follow these guidelines could result in the cancellation of your surgery.
