COVID-19 Visitor Limitations & Patient Screening

OOSC is always committed to patient and staff safety. As we continue to move forward into our new normal – delivering care with COVID-19 – we remain committed to adjusting guidelines as needed to ensure sustainable prevention strategies. In an effort to protect patients, visitors and staff, OOSC has implemented the following visitor restriction policy:

  • During times of low or moderate transmission levels, masks will be optional for most patients and visitors. All visitors should be free of any signs or symptoms of illness.
  • Patients/Visitors who should mask, regardless of community transmission levels, include those who:
    • Are experiencing respiratory symptoms
    • Have had a known COVID-19 exposure in the past 10 days
    • Have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 10 days
    • Team members, patients or visitors who would like to continue wearing masks are encouraged to do so.
  • Adult patients will be allowed a maximum of TWO visitors accompanying them into the facility for surgery.

It’s important to note that if our community transmission levels increase to a substantial level we may again require team members, patients and visitors to wear masks while in our facility.  We will communicate accordingly if our masking requirements need to change.

We appreciate your cooperation with these new guidelines as we work to protect you, other patients, and our surgeons and staff.
